Hours of Operation:
The program is open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Mondays (beginning September 2009) and 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays.
Children may attend two or three days a week.
Calendar:
The Westminster School for Young Children operates on a typical school-year calendar (September through May). Please see the 'Calendar at a Glance' page for a detailed calendar.
Summer Camp takes place the last three weeks of June and the last three weeks of July. Summer registration takes place in March each year.

Discipline:
Our attitude at Westminster is one of caring deeply about your children and desiring an atmosphere of comfort so that each child may feel safe and secure. We do not use “time-out” in our program. Rather, we use positive reinforcement and redirection to modify behavior; our primary long-range goal being to help children develop their own self-control and to feel good about themselves. In order to progress toward this goal, the following procedures are observed in all classrooms: Establish a climate of trust. Communicate positively and clearly. Offer Choices. Praise effort and accomplishment. Encourage children to use their words in conflict resolution.
